About this trip

A condensed Ladakh trip that drops Nubra rather than cutting the acclimatisation day — because that is the wrong corner to cut.

You get Leh and its monasteries, the Sham valley, and an overnight at Pangong. Suitable if you have five days and want to do them properly rather than seven days done badly.

Day by day

  1. Day 1

    Arrive Leh · rest

    Airport pickup and complete rest to acclimatise.

  2. Day 2

    Leh & Indus valley

    Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, then Thiksey and Hemis monasteries.

  3. Day 3

    Leh to Pangong

    Drive over Chang La to Pangong Tso. Sunset at the lake, overnight in a camp.

  4. Day 4

    Pangong to Leh via Sham valley

    Sunrise at the lake, return to Leh, then Magnetic Hill and the Indus–Zanskar confluence.

  5. Day 5

    Departure

    Transfer to Leh airport.
