About this trip

Four days is tight for Kashmir, but it works if you keep it to Srinagar and Gulmarg and do not try to add Pahalgam as well.

This itinerary gives Srinagar a full day of sightseeing plus a shikara ride, and Gulmarg a proper day trip with time for the gondola. It suits long weekends and travellers extending a work trip.

Day by day

  1. Day 1

    Arrive Srinagar

    Airport pickup, hotel check-in and an afternoon shikara ride on Dal Lake. Evening free.

  2. Day 2

    Srinagar sightseeing

    Nishat, Shalimar and Chashme Shahi gardens, Shankaracharya Temple and the old city.

  3. Day 3

    Gulmarg day trip

    Drive to Gulmarg, gondola ride and time in the meadow before returning to Srinagar.

  4. Day 4

    Departure

    Transfer to Srinagar airport.
