About this trip

Many travellers coming north for Vaishno Devi want to see Kashmir while they are in the region, and doing both in one trip saves a second set of flights.

This itinerary starts at Katra for the darshan, then moves to Srinagar for the valley — Gulmarg, Pahalgam and the gardens. The Jammu–Srinagar leg can be by road or by air; we will quote either.

Day by day

  1. Day 1

    Arrive Jammu, transfer to Katra

    Pickup and transfer to Katra. Yatra slip and rest.

  2. Day 2

    Vaishno Devi darshan

    Climb to the Bhawan for darshan, then Bhairavnath Temple. Return to Katra.

  3. Day 3

    Katra to Srinagar

    Travel to Srinagar by road or air. Houseboat check-in and evening shikara ride.

  4. Day 4

    Srinagar sightseeing

    Mughal gardens, Shankaracharya Temple and the old city.

  5. Day 5

    Gulmarg

    Day trip to Gulmarg with the gondola. Return to Srinagar.

  6. Day 6

    Srinagar to Pahalgam

    Drive to Pahalgam via Pampore. Evening by the Lidder.

  7. Day 7

    Pahalgam valleys

    Betaab, Aru and Chandanwari.

  8. Day 8

    Return to Srinagar

    Drive back with time for shopping.

  9. Day 9

    Departure

    Transfer to Srinagar airport.
